Our Approach

At Yocodesop, we take a holistic approach to community development, addressing multiple aspects of living conditions within the camp. Our projects may include:

  • Water and Sanitation Infrastructure: We work to improve access to clean water by installing or repairing water supply systems, wells, and water treatment facilities. Additionally, we support the construction of proper sanitation facilities such as toilets, latrines, and handwashing stations to prevent the spread of diseases and promote good hygiene practices.

  • Housing Upgrades and Infrastructure: We collaborate with residents to upgrade housing structures, repair infrastructure, and implement disaster-resilient designs to enhance safety and comfort. This may involve renovating existing shelters, constructing new housing units, or providing materials and support for self-help housing initiatives.

  • Community Empowerment and Capacity Building: We empower residents to take ownership of development projects by involving them in planning, decision-making, and implementation processes. Through training and capacity-building initiatives, we equip community members with the skills and knowledge they need to maintain and sustain improvements over the long terms
